Ms. Disha Agarwal, German teacher, participated in the Annual German Teachers' Conference (Deutsch Lehrer Tagung- DLT 2024) on 2nd and 3rd August, 2024, at Taj Vivanta, New Delhi. The significant event, organized by the Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi in collaboration with INDAF (Indo-German Teachers Association), focused on "Man and Machine: AI in the Classroom," convening educators from North India and Nepal to examine the impact of Artificial Intelligence on language education.
During the conference, Ms. Agarwal had the esteemed opportunity to act as a poised moderator alongside Dr. Thomas Strasser, a distinguished professor from the University of Vienna, for the workshop titled "Okay, mit KI im Klassenzimmer! Ihre maßgeschneiderte Survival-Ausrüstung für den digitalen Dschungel" ("OK with AI in the Classroom: Your Customized Survival Equipment for the Digital Jungle"). This workshop was a highlight of the event, providing practical insights into navigating the digital landscape with AI in educational settings.
Throughout the two-day event, attendees participated in a series of erudite presentations and interactive sessions designed to delve into the integration of AI. The conference underscored the importance of staying well informed and adaptable in teaching practices to ensure that AI is effectively incorporated into the curriculum, enhancing the learning experience for the learners.
