“Light over darkness, the triumph of good over evil is a choice we all carry within.”
On 9th October 2024, Lotus Valley celebrated Dussehra with great enthusiasm, instilling values of honesty, respect, humility, and obedience among learners.
Learners from FS1 created a hanging mobile to represent Dussehra's celebration across India’s four directions. Likewise, FS2 learners participated in a storytelling session followed by the craft activities ‘Quiver of Happiness’ and ‘Bursting Your Vices’. FS 3 learners began the day with bhajans, watched a Ram Leela enactment by teachers, and created the 'Dassagriva' craft showcasing Ravana's ten faces and emotions.
Similarly, Grade I learners explored the significance of Ravana’s ten heads and illustrated key teachings in their reflection booklets. Grade II participated in a ‘Burn the Vices Within’ activity and enjoyed a role play of Ramayana scenes. Grade III learners created storyboards illustrating pivotal moments from the Ramayana leading to Ravana's defeat.
The celebration concluded with active participation from all, seamlessly integrating learning with cultural festivities, leaving a lasting impression on the young learners.
