WEDNESDAY, 31ST JULY 2024
“I hear, and I forget. I see, and I remember. I do, and I understand.” - Chinese Proverb
This oft-repeated yet significant quote lies at the heart of Lotus Valley International School’s continued efforts to support the teachers from the NGO – RN Malhotra and Anna R Malhotra Charitable Trust. Under the mentorship of the Director-Principal, Ms. Anita Malhotra , the workshop conducted on 25th November 2023, gave the teachers a better understanding of the ways to handle students with differentiated learning, build interest in subjects among students, make the teaching-learning process activity and fun-based and many more. The school reaffirmed its commitment to the community by conducting yet another Training Session -‘Bridging Gaps… English and Maths Decoded’ on Wednesday, 31st July for the Teachers, dedicated to helping them build imperative 21st-century skills. The teachers from the Charitable Trust were welcomed by the Vice-Principal (Primary and Middle Wing), Ms Ritu Jawa. She delved into the world of NEP 2020 and helped them understand how crucial hands-on, activity-based teaching and learning have become in the current scenario. Lessons in basic concepts of Kinds of Nouns, Countable and Uncountable Nouns, Maths Operations like Addition, Subtraction, etc, and comprehending as well as solving Word Problems were taken up by the mentors through candid, application ,fun-based and enjoyable activities.
The workshop successfully met its objectives of equipping teachers with new skills and knowledge to enhance their teaching practices. The interactive and practical nature of the sessions ensured that participants could directly apply what they learned in their classrooms. We at Lotus Valley International School look forward to more such engaging and exuberant sessions in the future.
