An Awareness Session with Dr Rajvanshi
An interactive session was conducted for the learners of Grades XI and XII by Dr. Avinash Chandra Rajvanshi, a distinguished expert in the field of Forensic Science. Retired as an Additional Director & Head of Forensic Faculty at LNJN - National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science (MHA), Dr Rajwanshi discussed pursuit of Forensic Science as a career and its vast scope in diverse fields. He also drew attention to the prevalence of drugs in the society and how youngsters can keep away from the same. Among the other highlights was a discussion around different categories of drugs and their effects, techniques used to detect the presence of drugs, upcoming disciplines integrated with Forensic Science and its role in legal cases. He also cited real-life examples and case studies highlighting the application of the said field in drug-related investigations.
The session with Dr. A. C. Rajvanshi was enlightening both for the learners and facilitators. His extensive experience in forensic science, particularly concerning drugs not only apprised the learners about the prevalence of drugs in society and its lethal consequences but also inspired them to explore this field as a career option in future.
