Know Yourself - Relationship Connect and Academic Excellence

To promote a culture of integrity and excellence, Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram, organized an in-service teacher training program titled ‘Know Yourself - Relationship Connect and Academic Excellence’ on 13th January 2025. The workshop, led by Ms. Surjeet Khanna, Former Founder Principal of DPS Greater Faridabad, aimed to empower educators with self-awareness and strategies to enhance their personal and professional development.

The session commenced with an engaging ice-breaking activity, ‘Let’s Say Hello!’, where teachers represented themselves symbolically on cards and connected with colleagues through these representations. Ms. Khanna stimulated thoughtful discussions, providing scenarios and tools to help teachers safeguard their well-being and uphold institutional values through mindful actions.

Through a blend of role plays, anecdotes and inspiring video clips, the session highlighted key themes such as commitment, respect and positive relationships. Ms. Khanna emphasized the importance of creating a personal ‘Talisman’ rooted in truth, goodness, beauty, courage and rationalism as guiding principles for growth.

The workshop was an enriching and transformative experience, leaving educators inspired to foster integrity, meaningful connections and academic excellence within themselves and their institution.
