Embracing the Decade of Sustainability: Navigating the Challenges of Plastic Waste Management
L.V.I.S.G as part of its ongoing initiative for effective plastic waste management, Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram, proudly participated in the Panel Discussion & Culmination Ceremony of Project DROP. Organized by the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) in collaboration with Kia India Private Limited, Project D.R.O.P. (Develop Responsible Outlook for Plastic) has been a significant two-year initiative aimed at promoting sustainable plastic waste management.
A compelling street play by students sparked reflection on plastic consumption and waste disposal. The event featured insightful discussions led by Dr. Jaiveer Yadav (Joint Commissioner of Zone 2, Municipal Corporation Gurugram), and Dr. Pratima Dutta Dey (Head of the Resources and Waste Management Cell and Programme Director of SBM at NIUA), along with esteemed panelists from the industry and environmental sectors, who shared key strategies for sustainable waste management. Additionally, societies and institutions involved in Project DROP were felicitated for their collective efforts toward sustainability.
