On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram, conducted a series of grade-wise activities to raise awareness among learners about the harmful effects of tobacco and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Learners of Grades IV and V participated in a vibrant poster-making activity, creating impactful visuals with slogans promoting a tobacco-free world. Grades VI to VIII engaged in interactive role-plays and class discussions focused on peer pressure and the consequences of tobacco use. Grades IX and X viewed informative documentaries followed by reflective essay writing, enabling them to explore both the scientific and societal impacts of tobacco. Senior learners of Grades XI and XII participated in group presentations and debates, critically analysing policies related to tobacco control and sharing practical strategies for youth advocacy. These well-structured activities encouraged learners to think deeply, communicate effectively, and pledge to be responsible citizens championing the cause of a tobacco-free society.
