Lotus Valley International School, Gurgaon, hosted an engaging Vocabulary Building Workshop for its educators on 28th May 2025, led by esteemed etymologist Mr. Vimal Kumar Taheem titled English Word Power at Your Fingertips. Mr. Taheem brought his passion and expertise to the session, making it both enlightening and engaging for the mentors. The workshop focused on the fascinating process of how words are formed - through prefixes, suffixes and root words - empowering teachers with tools to decode and teach complex vocabulary in a more structured and effective manner. Mr. Taheem emphasized the importance of understanding word origins and patterns to build a robust and flexible vocabulary. The session was interactive, thought-provoking and filled with practical insights.
