The School celebrated its second edition of Lotus Sansad 2025, a telling testament to the power of youth, on 30 th and 31 st May 2025. The imposing theme, Janniti se Jankalyan, from Public Policy to Public Welfare, signified more than a flourish of rhetoric, underscoring the imperative of transforming legislative intent into measurable societal impact.
The Inaugural Ceremony of Lotus Sansad 2025 began with grandeur in the school auditorium, featuring a soulful choir performance and a heartfelt welcome by Director- Principal Ms Anita Malhotra.
The ceremony was graced by Ambassador Anil Trigunayat, former IFS officer, who delivered a powerful keynote on accountability, inclusivity, and youth-led change. Urging students to question and lead with purpose, he highlighted India’s civilisational ethos and its emerging role as a ‘voice of sanity’ in global affairs.
The Director-Principal, Ms Anita Malhotra delivered a visionary address that inspired the audience to embrace purpose-led leadership, complemented by a captivating dance and the unveiling of Mission Sansad, a montage showcasing the journey of the Secretariat. The Core Secretariat’s exordium concluded the ceremony with a tone of promise and conviction.
On Day-2, the Valedictory Ceremony opened with a soulful choir performance and was honoured by Mr Devender Mishra, IRS, former Chief Commissioner of Customs, presently an Advisor to the Food Corporation of India. In his keynote, he emphasised the importance of balancing rights with duties and praised the role of responsible, empathetic youth in strengthening democracy.
Pulse 5, a reflective dance tribute to the 'Panch Tatva', elemental forces of existence and balance, left the audience mesmerised. The lively ‘Fireside Chat’ with RJ Ginnie from Radio City India 91.1 FM blended humour with insight. In conversation with Anya Vohra and Agastya Trikha, she urged youth to voice respectful dissent, embrace authenticity, and not be fixated on appearances.
The Director-Principal, Ms Anita Malhotra, affirmed that the event fostered transformative leadership by encouraging dialogue, critical questioning, and reinforcing values of transparency and accountability.
The most anticipated moment arrived with the award announcements, led by Khushi Joshi, Charge d’Affaires, amid growing excitement. Awards were presented by the esteemed dignitaries marking a proud and celebratory moment.
The two-day Lotus Sansad 2025 celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Core Secretariat President, Vivaan Banerjee.
