As part of a nationwide green initiative, Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram, organised a plantation drive under the campaign “Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam” on 11th and 16th July 2025.
Students from Grades IV-XI, accompanied by their teachers, participated enthusiastically in the drive. Each sapling was planted in honour of the students’ mothers, establishing a deeply personal connection with nature and reinforcing family values. Indigenous species such as neem, gulmohar, moringa, and mango were carefully selected for their ecological value, medicinal properties, and adaptability to the local environment. The learners also pledged to nurture the saplings with dedication in the years to come.
This meaningful initiative not only heightened environmental consciousness but also fostered emotional resilience, civic responsibility, and a profound sense of gratitude towards Mother Earth.
