The Indo-Japanese Student Exchange Programme, involving learners from Lotus Valley International School Gurugram and their Japanese counterparts from Shibaura Institute of Technology Junior and Senior High School, Japan, was a meticulously planned and culturally rich event that unfolded over several days, offering a blend of educational and cultural experiences.
The programme kicked off on Wednesday, 27th March 2024 by a meet-and-greet session. The day was packed with activities starting with an elaborate welcome ceremony along with sports activities such as badminton, soccer, basketball and cricket, immersing students in a spirited environment. Post-sports, a Fusion Art Workshop and an Atal Tinkering Lab session fostered creativity and innovation.
On 28th March, students attended a felicitation ceremony and a lecture by Mr. Aman Singh, Co-founder of GradRight. They then visited IIT Delhi for a session on Metal Engineering by Prof. Laxmi Narayan, featuring interactive real-life examples and concluded with a campus tour, including the Physics and Chemistry Labs.
The cultural exchange deepened on Friday, 29th March, with the students donning Indian attire for a day filled with explorations in Delhi, including visits to the iconic Qutub Minar and Dilli Haat. The programme culminated on Saturday, 30th March, with an early morning departure for Agra. This final leg included a visit to the majestic Taj Mahal, symbolizing a poignant farewell.
This Student Exchange Pogramme was not just a journey of shared experiences, learning and mutual respect that undoubtedly left a lasting imprint on the hearts and minds of all participants.
