Celebrating World Heritage Day: Preserving Our Cultural Legacy
“Our rich and varied cultural heritage has a profound power to help build our nation.”
This year’s World Heritage Day celebrations at the school were marked with a distinct fervour. The day was celebrated across grades IV-XII on 18th and 19th April ’24.
While learners of grade IV showcased the rich culinary heritage of different cultures by creating exquisite menu cards, grades V and VI researched and designed insightful brochures. Grades VII and VIII crafted handmade heritage badges, while grades IX and X delivered engaging TED talks. On the other hand, learners of grade XI made presentations on various heritage practices such as Kuttanad and grade XII learners worked on documenting some treasured heritage sites’ origins and cultural importance.
Through active involvement in these endeavours, learners cultivated a profound connection with their heritage and assumed a sense of duty in conserving our cultural legacy for posterity.
