Summer time always brings that special vibe,
To relax and rejuvenate, and the fun we want to imbibe.
Let us also tie it up with a special gift for our mind,
Precious time is for us to explore and soak in the new find.
Children eagerly anticipate the endless possibilities for fun and discovery during the Summer Break. This special time of year is filled with relaxation and enchantment. To keep the excitement alive, mentors at Lotus Valley planned an exhilarating day just before the break. Learners from FS1 to Grade 3 came dressed in colourful attire and enjoyed music, dance, games and food with their peers and mentors.
FSI learners had a fun-filled day under the in-house tent, enjoying finger foods, watching 'Finding Nemo' while participating in musical chairs and pyramid games during a pyjama party. Likewise, the FS2II learners, dressed in a rainbow-coloured attire, joyfully participated in the 'Balloon on the Run' experiment, followed by free play with balloons, a movie and games while relishing their favourite food. FSIII learners took part in 'Lemon and Spoon' zigzag races, crafted beautiful takeaways and concluded the day with attractive tattoos and a dancing statue activity.
Grade I celebrated the beginning of vacation with a fruit-themed day. They made fruit-themed cards, exchanged them with friends, dressed in the colours of their favourite fruits and enjoyed delicious treats while singing and dancing. Similarly, Grade II had a theme party, 'AHOY MATEYS!', where boys dressed as Pirate Kings and girls as Pirate Queens, playing games like Patch the Eyes, Pirate Bowling and Dance and Freeze.
Grade III learners embraced the joyous spirit by donning vibrant Hawaiian attire, adding tropical colours to the school corridors. They shared paragraphs about their summer vacation plans, enjoyed delicious food, played lively games and danced to upbeat music. The event created perfect memories and a joyful send-off into the sunny days ahead.
